After a defensive mix-up in FC Žalia Giria's zone, Francisco Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vilmantas Matulas came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 22nd minute Saúl Gentiletti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximiliano Escribano struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Vilmantas Matulas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. 28 minutes into the match, FC Žalia Giria's Saúl Gentiletti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FC Žalia Giria's Jack Grealish was substituted for Vytautas Petkus. In the 39th minute of the game Arturo Carvallo made a throw-in which Jaime Cazalla played forward. Joaquin Gayoso didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when FC Žalia Giria's Saúl Gentiletti shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Saúl Gentiletti ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Saúl Gentiletti put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. In the 66th minute, Saúl Gentiletti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Žalia Giria made a substitution. Algitas Kimbartas replaced Dovydas Varnas. After 67 played minutes FC Žalia Giria got a freekick which was hit by Saúl Gentiletti. Alberto Gisbert hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Augustinas Baltramaitis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Jack Grealish managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Žalia Giria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jack Grealish was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vilmantas Matulas having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Ramūnas Lipskis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Grealish came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Grealish in the 85th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Jack Grealish hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uruguay's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
