The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Adrien Tanneau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Valette Stars's Adrien Tanneau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 12th minute of play forced Valette Stars's goalkeeper Adrien Tanneau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrien Tanneau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 16 minutes into the match, Valette Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Adrien Tanneau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrien Tanneau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Rafail Rusev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. In the 40th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrien Tanneau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Leoz kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafail Rusev got free with Dante Lacasa in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Mexico booed when Valette Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurice Crochard didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guillaume Chaine to make the kick off. A collision led to Valette Stars getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Mathys Chassot hit a great ball. Adrien Tanneau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 51st minute of play. Valette Stars's Adrien Tanneau proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Valette Stars from getting a goal against them. Valette Stars's Adrien Tanneau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 55th minute of play. Valette Stars's Dan Pruvot was substituted for Pierre-Antoine Landemaine. After 75 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maurice Crochard who took care of the corner kick. Maurice Crochard made a great header on Valette Stars's corner, it was just that Mexico's Dante Lacasa managed to reach the ball for a save. Guillaume Chaine scored 1-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guillaume Chaine took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrien Tanneau having to interfere. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Many of Mexico's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mexico may have spent more time on the ball, but Valette Stars were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
