Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but 麦永斌 made a huge save. In the 78th match minute, 江苏武进庙桥英雄联队 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 孟笑扬 to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 麦永斌 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deng Guo Yang in the 93rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deng Guo Yang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deng Guo Yang in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than 江苏武进庙桥英雄联队.
