Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joachim De Jonghe in the 5th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Manchester United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manfred Rudqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manchester United FC's Bruno Martini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Martini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Manchester United FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ecuador:s goal. The referee gave Ecuador a penalty, 16 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daniel Zorita, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Manchester United FC's Bruno Martini. 0-2. Bruno Martini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 19th minute of play. After 20 minutes Manchester United FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Luis Andino scored 0-3 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Martini, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Martini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Martini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 33 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Martini. Manchester United FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Manchester United FC's Bruno Martini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfred Rudqvist in the 42nd minute of play. Bruno Martini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manfred Rudqvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Manfred Rudqvist came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Manchester United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manfred Rudqvist couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bruno Martini firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ľubomír Timčo struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester United FC. In the 68th minute, Rui Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 69 minutes into the match, Manchester United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Bruno Martini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Bruno Martini made a huge save. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfred Rudqvist in the 73rd minute of the match. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Manchester United FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. The referee gave Manchester United FC a penalty, 86 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Simão de Toledo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. 1-5. Bruno Martini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 90th minute. Manchester United FC's Donato Galvão got his second yellow card of the match in the 91st minute. The referee ordered Donato Galvão off the ground. Donato Galvão hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
