Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manfred Rudqvist in the 9th minute. In the 13th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Martini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bruno Martini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Felix Luque got a free kick in the 18th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Manchester United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Bruno Martini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manchester United FC's Bruno Martini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 26th minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfred Rudqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Macos Graciani to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfred Rudqvist in the 43rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manchester United FC's Bruno Martini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 44th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Martini. Bruno Martini dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester United FC's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Martini came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manfred Rudqvist in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 60 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Manchester United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Cadaval came free, but Bruno Martini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Manchester United FC's goalkeeper Bruno Martini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Facundo Cadaval. After 66 minutes Manchester United FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Mexico's Facundo Cadaval to fire away a dangerous shot which Bruno Martini despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Bruno Martini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Gaona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Martini having to make a save. Luca Zorita hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 78 played minutes Manchester United FC got a freekick which was hit by Glauco Saraiva. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Bruno Martini in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bruno Martini made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 85th minute, which Bruno Martini however easily saved by the left post. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Bruno Martini made a huge save. In the 94th minute, Ľubomír Timčo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manchester United FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.
