The tension between the FC NORDLAND and the Peru players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC NORDLAND's Benno Betancor got a free kick in the 12th minute. After 15 played minutes FC NORDLAND got a freekick which was hit by Benno Betancor. In the 21st minute Angelillo Di Maria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joar Frisck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Birger Benett's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rolando Noboa firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelillo Di Maria got free with Rolando Noboa in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joar Frisck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rhys Hughes in the 51st minute of play. The throw-in from Ildefonso Paulin in the 53rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Anthony Alvarado. FC NORDLAND's Joar Frisck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save FC NORDLAND from getting a goal against them. When Rhys Hughes fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC NORDLAND's protests and gave Rhys Hughes a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 played minutes FC NORDLAND got a freekick which was hit by Rhys Hughes. The throw-in from Ildefonso Paulin in the 62nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. After 66 minutes FC NORDLAND's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Peru's Luz Tejedor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Joar Frisck in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 69 minutes into the match, FC NORDLAND's goal looked a bit too open when Milagros Fraga came free, but Joar Frisck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joar Frisck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 73rd minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, FC NORDLAND's goalkeeper Joar Frisck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milagros Fraga. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Peru's Julian Murillo in the 84th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Joar Frisck was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for FC NORDLAND through an amazing save. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. In the 86th match minute, FC NORDLAND was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benno Betancor to maneuver through the defense. 93 minutes into the match, Rafael Gallo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joar Frisck, 0-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Peru eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
