After 9 played minutes Sleepy Soldiers FC got a freekick which was hit by Cederique Goffeyn. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Joonatan De Vlaeminck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andres Oper's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Sleepy Soldiers FC were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frits Cromefeldt took the corner. Sleepy Soldiers FC's Frits Cromefeldt was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dante Lacasa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Oper in the 16th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Sleepy Soldiers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Joonatan De Vlaeminck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andres Oper's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 26th minute of play forced Sleepy Soldiers FC's goalkeeper Joonatan De Vlaeminck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Andres Oper managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sleepy Soldiers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andres Oper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Lacasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Sleepy Soldiers FC booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Luque didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octavio Ordono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andres Oper recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Joonatan De Vlaeminck made a huge save. 57 minutes into the match, Sleepy Soldiers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Joonatan De Vlaeminck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 58 minutes Sleepy Soldiers FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. After 59 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Cadaval. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Oper, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres Oper in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Alberto Tafalla got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Facundo Cadaval really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Alberto Tafalla got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-2. 88 minutes into the match. Joonatan De Vlaeminck made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th minute, Octavio Ordono got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mexico walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
