In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 11 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. In the 12th minute of the match Anfilogino Bellone shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anfilogino Bellone in the 13th minute of play. The audience cheered when Anfilogino Bellone's long shot passed Benito Sanz's right side. It was 0-3, 36 minutes into the match. When Filippo Magliocco came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Frascone fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filippo Magliocco couldn't finish the play. Filippo Magliocco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. Filippo Magliocco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 55 played minutes, Costa Rica's Alexander Carballo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Victorino Milio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Costa Rica reached it. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filippo Magliocco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Filippo Magliocco sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. A collision led to Frascone fc getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Ermanno Picca hit a great ball. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filippo Magliocco in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute Filippo Magliocco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Filippo Magliocco notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 78th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Milio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filippo Magliocco in the 88th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Frascone fc left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Costa Rica.
