Ellie Somantri hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Hasan Sentosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hasan Sentosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Ťĥē Řïśĭηģ §ŧŕĩкë's Hasan Sentosa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. That made the score 1-0 after 47 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Seco made a kick off. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hasan Sentosa in the 56th minute of the match. Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Hasan Sentosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Uruguay's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
