Juan Sebastián Puig charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Sebastián Puig the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Luzim's Salvador Poças. But to his dismay, Salvador Poças quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 19th minute, Salvador Poças hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of play forced SC Luzim's goalkeeper Nicolas Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Zarco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolas Neto made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. SC Luzim's Nicolas Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save SC Luzim from getting a goal against them. Nicolas Neto made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Nicolas Neto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 30th minute. The supporters of SC Luzim booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Poças in the 32nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Albuquerque came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Salvador Poças came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the SC Luzim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salvador Poças couldn't finish the play. After 41 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. Salvador Poças struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Luzim. The Ecuador players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Luzim were winning 0-2.

In the 58th minute, Lucas Zarco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Luzim's goalkeeper Nicolas Neto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bento Azenha hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, SC Luzim's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tomás Lisboa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 66 played minutes SC Luzim got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Albuquerque. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Poças in the 71st minute of play. Normando Sanches kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 82ndth minute of the game Salvador Poças who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Renato Ferrão struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Luzim. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Luzim walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
