Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Rolando Noboa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 19 minutes into the match, Dragan Horčička notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Peru's Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dezider Šindelka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 24th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dezider Šindelka saved FC Barcelona from getting behind. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Julian Murillo sped through FC Barcelona's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dezider Šindelka. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gavin McConchy in the 28 minute of the game. 29 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dezider Šindelka narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chico Pirok could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chico Pirok in the 35th minute. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Luz Tejedor hit a great ball. In the 69th minute Chico Pirok shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dezider Šindelka made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Milagros Fraga sent off a good shot on target. 73 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Peru's Julian Murillo fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dezider Šindelka prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Peru's Julian Murillo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dezider Šindelka. That made the score 1-2 after 83 minutes of play. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. In the 88th minute, Anthony Alvarado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dragan Horčička, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gavin McConchy in the 92 minute of the game. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Peru had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
