Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Pheonix FC's Vladislav Hampejs started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute, Pheonix FC's Rafik Zoheir Zerara ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. Julio Vera didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 12th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Pheonix FC's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tyge Oehlerich came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vladislav Hampejs's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 24 played minutes Pheonix FC got a freekick which was hit by Alan Almeida. The audience was convinced that Vladislav Hampejs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Pheonix FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thodoris Aggelou didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Pheonix FC's Vladislav Hampejs fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tyge Oehlerich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 38th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyge Oehlerich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tyge Oehlerich narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 40th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Ecuador's Luis Andino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tyge Oehlerich in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 41st minute. Julio Vera acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 42nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Marcel Militaru. 44 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tyge Oehlerich. Pheonix FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Rafik Zoheir Zerara came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladislav Hampejs in the 55th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tyge Oehlerich having to interfere. 任正振 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 66 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 71st minute. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pheonix FC's Tyge Oehlerich did a great save. 74 minutes into the match, Rafik Zoheir Zerara notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vladislav Hampejs in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Pheonix FC's Tyge Oehlerich got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Pheonix FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Militaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
