After 15 minutes, Jan Smitt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fly T.T and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jan Smitt hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Fly T.T's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Quentin Kendrick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Franciszek Kopacz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Quentin Kendrick having to make a save. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bertrand Glass to strike the kick off in the second half. Quentin Kendrick made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bertrand Glass in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 61 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Quentin Kendrick narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 65 minutes into the game, Freddy Torres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fly T.T's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Freddy Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 66th minute. The audience was convinced that Bertrand Glass's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. In the 70th minute Fly T.T were awarded a corner. Jan Smitt went to the cornerflag to take it. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Quentin Kendrick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 76th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Quentin Kendrick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes in the game, Daniel Zorita fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Quentin Kendrick having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Gisbert during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
