Eric Păvăloae ran back to his position shaking his head. 17 minutes into the match, Eric Păvăloae notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rareș Tatulici kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eric Păvăloae went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Păvăloae, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute Eric Păvăloae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Venezuela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ninjas in Pyjamas:s goal. Rareș Tatulici shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ninjas in Pyjamas the free kick. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 41st minute. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Rareș Tatulici shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 43rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jonathan Ferrant but with some difficulty. In the 44th minute Eric Păvăloae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The attack was good, but when Eric Păvăloae in the 45th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eric Păvăloae stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Păvăloae, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Eric Păvăloae kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 84th minute, Alex Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Eric Păvăloae kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Eric Păvăloae took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. In the 94th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Păvăloae in the 95th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Ninjas in Pyjamas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
