Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Salomón Avendaño started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Ángel Riesco in the 3rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th minute, Miguel Ángel Riesco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Salomón Avendaño sent off a good shot on target. Salomón Avendaño's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Orlín Rozas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 40th minute of play. In the 47th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Orlín Rozas quite easily take care of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

TurboUC's Podador Escudero was substituted for Dušan Tadić. 53 minutes into the match, TurboUC's goalkeeper Orlín Rozas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after TurboUC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Orlín Rozas quite easily take care of the ball. In the 57th minute Miguel Ángel Riesco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Montes was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 61 minutes into the match. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! In the 65th minute Salomón Avendaño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Salomón Avendaño left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TurboUC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After a rather tough play, TurboUC's John Snow got a free kick in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Ángel Riesco came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Ángel Riesco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis Andino during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 92nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Andino to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salomón Avendaño in the 93rd minute of play. John Snow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Miguel Ángel Riesco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because TurboUC had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
