Julio Vera was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Xie Zheng Liang capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Xie Zheng Liang really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 23 minutes into the match, Miguel Ángel Riesco dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 3-0. Salomón Avendaño's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute Miguel Ángel Riesco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, TurboUC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Orlín Rozas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlín Rozas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Miguel Ángel Riesco made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. When Juan Sebastián Puig fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Juan Sebastián Puig a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sebastián Puig to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

TurboUC's Podador Escudero was substituted for Dušan Tadić. TurboUC's Cui Ling Xi was substituted for Aleksey Mazaev. The wind increased when Salomón Avendaño made the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Ángel Riesco in the 54th minute of play. Orlín Rozas made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Juan Eduardo Atenas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Orlín Rozas was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Daniel Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 5-1. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 65th minute. With a little luck, TurboUC's Orlín Rozas got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Salomón Avendaño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Thomas Lawrie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Salomón Avendaño managed to get in a good position for a shot. TurboUC's supporters rose to their feet, but Salomón Avendaño was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Cui Ling Xi fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TurboUC's protests and gave Cui Ling Xi a yellow card for diving instead. Salomón Avendaño hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, Salomón Avendaño left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TurboUC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salomón Avendaño in the 87th minute of the match. After 92 played minutes TurboUC got a freekick which was hit by Salomón Avendaño. Salomón Avendaño hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Ecuador's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
