When Primitivo Escribano came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Primitivo Escribano couldn't finish the play. Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th minute of the match Staffan Fribäck shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jacobo Nores showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Terra Scaniae was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joacim Wennerqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute of the match Staffan Fribäck sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jacobo Nores skillfully saved the ball. Khodadad Khan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 22nd minute. In the 22nd minute, Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Khodadad Khan. Khodadad Khan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Khodadad Khan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Khodadad Khan managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Paraguay's Jaime Pardo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Terra Scaniae's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Anders Lingren in the 34th minute. The corner ended in Anders Lingren almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Paraguay's Jacobo Nores did a great save. Edvin Gregersson charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edvin Gregersson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Terra Scaniae's Edvin Gregersson got a free kick in the 35th minute. Terra Scaniae's Khodadad Khan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pardo in the 36th minute of play. Terra Scaniae's Khodadad Khan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Terra Scaniae from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Terra Scaniae's zone, Hector Covarrubias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Khodadad Khan came out of the goal and Hector Covarrubias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 45 minutes, Kent Gunnarsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Terra Scaniae and the Paraguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Terra Scaniae was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent Gunnarsson to maneuver through the defense. Terra Scaniae's Khodadad Khan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pardo in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Khodadad Khan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Primitivo Escribano in the 52nd minute of the match. Jaime Pardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Khodadad Khan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Primitivo Escribano charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Primitivo Escribano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Terra Scaniae booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Escribano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacobo Nores made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Oscar Näfver sent off a good shot on target. Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Edvin Gregersson in the 65 minute of the game. Terra Scaniae's Kent Gunnarsson got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jacobo Nores made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Oscar Näfver sent off a good shot on target. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Gunnarsson in the 79th minute of play. If Kent Gunnarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Jose Sanz. After a defensive mix-up in Terra Scaniae's zone, Hector Covarrubias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Khodadad Khan came out of the goal and Hector Covarrubias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Paraguay fully deserved thier win.
