When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miliano Riba made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Luis Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anxo Cerreri was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 57th minute, Luis Andino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. In the 86th minute, Felix Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Barrio Sesamo booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stoil Baharov in the 90th minute of play. With a little luck, Barrio Sesamo's Anxo Cerreri got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Barrio Sesamo could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
