But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Seco couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, 马大哈's 贺洲政 got a free kick in the 17th minute. 徐挺锋 hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 曲义夕 having to interfere. Maximiliano Escribano succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 26th playminute. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but 曲义夕 made a huge save. After 37 minutes of play, 马大哈's 白亮平 made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! 曲义夕 made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Maximiliano Escribano sent off a good shot on target. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The Uruguay fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when Uruguay's Camilo Franco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 曲义夕 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Maximiliano Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 曲义夕 stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Seco's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximiliano Escribano in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg 曲义夕 saved 马大哈 from getting behind. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Jorge Sainz hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the match, 马大哈's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but 曲义夕 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximiliano Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out.
