Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Şota Arveladze in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 15 minutes into the match, Olympique Gdynia's goal looked a bit too open when Jacob May came free, but Tanek Ostrowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Cassius Byrne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Czeslaw Domeracki in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute of the match Olympique Gdynia got a corner. USA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fabio-Roman Zabaleta ran over to the corner to take the kick. Olympique Gdynia's Fabio-Roman Zabaleta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marco Day in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Czeslaw Domerackis short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Marco Day to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 31 minutes into the match, Olympique Gdynia's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Tanek Ostrowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Olympique Gdynia getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Fabio-Roman Zabaleta hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute, Cassius Byrne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olympique Gdynia's Phạm Nguyet got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Czeslaw Domeracki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. In the 44th minute Olympique Gdynia were awarded a corner. Fabio-Roman Zabaleta went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Olympique Gdynia's Fabio-Roman Zabaleta to fire away a dangerous shot which Marco Day despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 45th minute, Şota Arveladze got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by USA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fabio-Roman Zabaleta was slow to take the kick. During this time Olympique Gdynia's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Fabio-Roman Zabaleta got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marco Day quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Şota Arveladze managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olympique Gdynia's supporters rose to their feet, but Şota Arveladze was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Day breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 55 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Şota Arveladze came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Noam Chomsky recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şota Arveladze, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Olympique Gdynia's Tanek Ostrowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Olympique Gdynia from getting a goal against them. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Czeslaw Domeracki in the 62nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Olympique Gdynia's Tanek Ostrowski got control of the ball when Monty Rogers tried to sneak it across the goal line. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şota Arveladze in the 66th minute of play. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. In the 69th minute of the match Olympique Gdynia got a corner. USA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fabio-Roman Zabaleta ran over to the corner to take the kick. Olympique Gdynia were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after USA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fabio-Roman Zabaleta took the corner. Khalid Parry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
