In the 3rd minute Milagros Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabby Arias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabby Arias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. 6 minutes into the match, Ilulea FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Gabby Arias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute of the match Ilulea FC got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. 史铮坤 ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 13th minute, Luz Tejedor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martin Gorbea made in the 19th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. 19 minutes into the match, Ilulea FC's goal looked a bit too open when Milagros Fraga came free, but Gabby Arias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eleuterio Mirande. Gabby Arias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 史铮坤, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Ilulea FC's 史铮坤. But to his dismay, 史铮坤 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eleuterio Mirande got free with Rolando Noboa in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eleuterio Mirande's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Gabby Arias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marian Golembiewski. Eleuterio Mirande hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. 史铮坤 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gabby Arias made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th minute Eleuterio Mirande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56thth minute of the game Eleuterio Mirande who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 史铮坤 in the 60th minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Peru's Luz Tejedor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gabby Arias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Martin Gorbea got a throw-in 73 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Eleuterio Mirande. A collision led to Ilulea FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Adam Tanner hit a great ball. When Ilulea FC's Eleuterio Mirande in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Peru's goalie prevented a goal. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. 88 minutes into the match, Peru's Rafael Gallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gabby Arias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Despite being the better team, Peru failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
