Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cassius Byrne in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Velimir Popchev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 8 minutes, Cassius Byrne made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Doychin Konsulov was the one to do the kick off. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doychin Konsulov in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Doychin Konsulov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Day was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. VN Keleler's Velimir Popchev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 55th minute of play. Seyit Bozbey struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Marco Day didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VN Keleler.
