The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of 孙银皓. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 9-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. 孙银皓 came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Agustín Saelices. But to his dismay, Agustín Saelices quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 孙银皓 having to interfere.
