After some careless play in the Chile defense, Ryszard Bronicki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Atletico Kyperountas's Ryszard Bronicki slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thiago Pliego. That made the score 2-0 after 24 minutes of play. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryszard Bronicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chile's Francisco Carballar managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Bogdan Zyskowski in the 36 minute of the game. After some careless play in the Atletico Kyperountas defense, Orlando Casaus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matias Ralondo. The Atletico Kyperountas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matias Ralondo should have stopped the shot. Matias Ralondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 39th minute of the match. Atletico Kyperountas's Ryszard Bronicki got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matias Ralondo was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Mariano Lacasa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mariano Lacasa really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Mariano Lacasa took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Matias Ralondo to make any attempt to save it. The Chile supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chile would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
