Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Chatziantoniou Vakoufaris scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-0. In the 13th minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Periklis Pagopoulos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Periklis Pagopoulos really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 21 minutes into the match, Jose F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Aris Zanteroglou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aris Zanteroglou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 24th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aris Zanteroglou having to interfere. Themos Panagakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aris Zanteroglou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Agustín Saelices fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aris Zanteroglou quite easily take care of the ball. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aris Zanteroglou having to interfere. In the 49th minute Jose F.C. were awarded a corner. Ntinos Kaliakatsos went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Orestis Daras almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Orestis Daras during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Jose F.C. getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Orestis Daras hit a great ball. With a little luck, Jose F.C.'s Aris Zanteroglou got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 55th minute. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Jose F.C.'s Aris Zanteroglou managed to reach the ball for a save. Aris Zanteroglou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Ntinos Kaliakatsos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute Chatziantoniou Vakoufaris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, Felix Montes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jose F.C. the free kick. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Jose F.C.'s Pipis Thiakos got a free kick in the 69th minute. Jose F.C.'s Aris Zanteroglou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Jose F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Themos Panagakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Jose F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Jose F.C.'s Aris Zanteroglou did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Aris Zanteroglou in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aris Zanteroglou made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 87th minute, Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Jose F.C.'s Aris Zanteroglou didn't even have to move. 89 minutes into the game, Chatziantoniou Vakoufaris cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee felt a red card was in order, 93 minutes into the game, when Primitivo Andino put in a rough tackle. A nice corner shot did that Ntinos Kaliakatsos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 97th minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 98 minutes, Chatziantoniou Vakoufaris managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jose F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Chatziantoniou Vakoufaris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Periklis Pagopoulos in the 100th minute of play. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Jose F.C. had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
