After a rather tough play, Peru's Joaquin Prats got a free kick in the 14th minute. 15 minutes in the game Aristide Mirciulescu after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Rolando Noboa. A very good opportunity. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Fadhly Haryanto-Ie sent off a good shot on target. When Luz Tejedor came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luz Tejedor couldn't finish the play. Egil Kilberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 23rd minute of the match. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Fadhly Haryanto-Ie sent off a good shot on target. 25 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fadhly Haryanto-Ie. Egil Kilberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Original Sabahan's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Peru's Luz Tejedor to fire away a dangerous shot which Egil Kilberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 34th minute. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Yao Jian Lei in the 39 minute of the game. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joko Waluyo in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthony Alvarado to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Milagros Fraga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Original Sabahan's Cristoforo Strazzabosco was substituted for Jojo Guci. Egil Kilberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 65th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Egil Kilberg in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Egil Kilberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Emmanuel Reyes made in the 80th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Milagros Fraga however managed to control. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yahya Kılıçaslan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yahya Kılıçaslan in the 83rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egil Kilberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Original Sabahan's Egil Kilberg got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. 91 minutes in the game Emmanuel Reyes did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Milagros Fraga. After a rather tough play, Peru's Rafael Gallo got a free kick in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute Yahya Kılıçaslan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
