Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Costel Ţintă got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Tinu in the 3rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Costel Ţintă had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Costel Ţintă was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Zenga having to interfere. The supporters of Scorpions -MM- booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augustin Vergulescu got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Walter Zenga came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 30th minute of the match, Costel Ţintă tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Ferrant saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Costel Ţintă's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Costel Ţintă in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Costel Ţintă kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-1 in the 38 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Costel Ţintă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Costel Ţintă put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. In the 44th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walter Zenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Walter Zenga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Tomas Illescas put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Walter Zenga. Walter Zenga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. After 66th play minutes Costel Ţintă shot 4-2, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. Walter Zenga came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. In the 73rd minute Octav Vătăşel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 75 in the game by Tomas Illescas from a close distance when the talented Walter Zenga managed to make a qualified save. Scorpions -MM-'s players were relieved. In the 78th minute Costel Ţintă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Walter Zenga. Walter Zenga yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-4. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Scorpions -MM- fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
