In the 20th minute of the match, Costel Ţintă tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Ferrant saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Vrânceanu's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Costel Ţintă tried to sneak it across the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Costel Ţintă. Walter Zenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 34th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Scorpions -MM-'s Tony Dobos got a free kick in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Cornel Giuverdea charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cornel Giuverdea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cornel Giuverdea hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augustin Vergulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costel Ţintă in the 59th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costel Ţintă in the 63rd minute of play. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. Scorpions -MM- made a substitution. Octav Vătăşel replaced Dan Tinu. 71 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 77 played minutes Scorpions -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Alex Vrânceanu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Costel Ţintă in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Tony Dobos kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Patricio Costa in the 86th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Walter Zenga's left hand side. When Scorpions -MM-'s Costel Ţintă in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal.
