Walmir Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Loco De Remate's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walmir Catarinense came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rene Aires stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Walmir Catarinense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Julian Murillo took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Walmir Catarinense to make any attempt to save it. In the 66th match minute, Loco De Remate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amado Nisio to maneuver through the defense. After 67 played minutes Loco De Remate got a freekick which was hit by Amado Nisio. Mehmet Emrah Ruşen kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Walmir Catarinense made a huge save. Loco De Remate made a substitution. Clodoveo Christobal replaced Rene Aires. 80 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Walmir Catarinense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Walmir Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 81st minute of play. Walmir Catarinense made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
