A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Edmundo Espiga hit a great ball. Wictor Brovall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Nicolae Ghiorman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th match minute, Poli AEK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zafer Fırat to maneuver through the defense. Romeo Berceanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. In the 17th minute, one of Poli AEK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Poli AEK. Poli AEK:s Nicolae Ghiorman showed great skill when he stopped Edmundo Espiga:s penalty. In the 27th minute, Edmundo Espiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeo Berceanu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lautaro Navarro came out and tried to block the shot, but Romeo Berceanu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 33rd minute. A throw-in in the 37th minute of the game was made by Chen Xiao Yan with Romeo Berceanu as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Honduras! If Romeo Berceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundo Espiga to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Tafalla in the 53rd minute of play forced Poli AEK's goalkeeper Nicolae Ghiorman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicolae Ghiorman saved Poli AEK from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Sebastian Villa took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Nicolae Ghiorman to make any attempt to save it. Romeo Berceanu kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Moises Tafalla kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. With his leg Nicolae Ghiorman managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wictor Brovall in the 66th minute of play. In the 70th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. After 73 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Navarro. Chen Xiao Yan made in the 79th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Gigi Tănăsie. In the 81st minute, Max Smed got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A throw-in in the 84th minute of the game was made by Chen Xiao Yan with Wictor Brovall as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. If Romeo Berceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Poli AEK's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Nicolae Ghiorman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
