An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of play forced La Vieja Guarida FC's goalkeeper Apolo Erroman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Erroman having to interfere. After some careless play in the La Vieja Guarida FC defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Apolo Erroman. The La Vieja Guarida FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Apolo Erroman should have stopped the shot. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Apolo Erroman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute of the match La Vieja Guarida FC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Raul Quinteros ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 17 minutes, Juan Sebastián Puig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the La Vieja Guarida FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 21 minutes into the match, La Vieja Guarida FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Apolo Erroman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Apolo Erroman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yağızhan Korgan. Faustino Lizar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Yağızhan Korgan sent off a good shot on target. Raul Quinteros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Yağızhan Korgan made the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yağızhan Korgan, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 54 minutes into the match, Yağızhan Korgan notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Apolo Erroman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 60th minute, Faustino Lizar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Apolo Erroman. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. La Vieja Guarida FC's Wladyslaw Mikulski was substituted for Zacarias Iigo. After 67 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. In the 68th minute Yağızhan Korgan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When La Vieja Guarida FC's Yağızhan Korgan in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Apolo Erroman made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in La Vieja Guarida FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apolo Erroman came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Yağızhan Korgan came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. La Vieja Guarida FC's Serafino Francesco was substituted for Mariusz Chlapowski. In the 84th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Erroman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Apolo Erroman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yağızhan Korgan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
