Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Costel Ţintă got the match started through his kick off. Walter Zenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 3rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Scorpions -MM-'s Walter Zenga got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Scorpions -MM-'s Costel Ţintă in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. In the 7thth minute of the game Costel Ţintă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Scorpions -MM-'s Walter Zenga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Scorpions -MM- from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with Walter Zenga in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 15th minute, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Walter Zenga. Walter Zenga yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walter Zenga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Walter Zenga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Walter Zenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 25th minute of the match. The corner led to Ecuador's Luis Andino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Walter Zenga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 minutes, Costel Ţintă mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Scorpions -MM- and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st minute, Costel Ţintă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Walter Zenga could save by the left post. 35 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Luis Andino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Walter Zenga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Scorpions -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Păun didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Felix Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Walter Zenga was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 40 minutes into the match, Scorpions -MM-'s goalkeeper Walter Zenga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Daniel Zorita was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 44th minute. Ecuador's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Costel Ţintă's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Scorpions -MM-'s goalkeeper Walter Zenga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luca Păun hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 55th minute of play forced Scorpions -MM-'s goalkeeper Walter Zenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Scorpions -MM-'s Walter Zenga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 57th minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Zenga having to interfere. Costel Ţintă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Luis Andino struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Walter Zenga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Zenga having to interfere. In the 73rd match minute, Scorpions -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorinel Munteanu to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the match, Luis Andino notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Scorpions -MM-'s Walter Zenga. Walter Zenga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Traian Uzuneanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 81st minute. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
