Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Illescas got the match started through his kick off. 6 minutes into the game, Alex Chicote threw the ball into play from the sideline. Panionios MK's Antonis Linardakis quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Salvador Gisbert made in the 7th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Panionios MK's Antonis Linardakis. When Themos Leontiadis came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Panionios MK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Themos Leontiadis couldn't finish the play. Antonis Linardakis's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antonis Linardakis helped the player get up and apologised. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Erik Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Allan Corrigan got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 minutes in the game Alex Chicote did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Patricio Costa. Panionios MK's Antonis Linardakis managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alex Chicote in the 23 minute of the game. Themos Leontiadis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Themos Leontiadis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Themos Leontiadis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. When Themos Leontiadis came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Panionios MK fans jumped to their feet. A sloppy throw-in by Alex Chicote in the 35th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Panionios MK's Antonis Linardakis. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Themos Leontiadis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Themos Leontiadis in the 45th minute. Themos Leontiadis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Themos Leontiadis was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Themos Leontiadis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panionios MK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Themos Leontiadis in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Allan Corrigan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Themos Leontiadis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Themos Leontiadis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Themos Leontiadis might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Themos Leontiadis ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Themos Leontiadis in the 80th minute of the match. In the 81stth minute of the game Themos Leontiadis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Themos Leontiadis scored 2-1 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Themos Leontiadis in the 91st minute of play. Themos Leontiadis might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Themos Leontiadis ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erik Vale saved Panionios MK from getting behind. Argyris Ksagorarakis hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
