It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Felix Montes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's Joachim Högman did a great save. 22 minutes into the match, Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Joachim Högman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute Mattias Lenberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oliver Giroud's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oliver Giroud made a kick off. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho suffered a concussion after 50 minutes and had to leave the field. After 50 minutes, Bernt Stigsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Giroud in the 95th minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Giroud came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
