When Sidney Eldridge came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Brannik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidney Eldridge couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Benito Sanz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. İslam Hirfanlı could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Robert Vincent might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robert Vincent ran back to his position shaking his head. 13 minutes into the match, Brannik's İslam Hirfanlı sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the last second Benito Sanz throw himself and got hold of the ball when Stefan Pierson in the 23rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Lautaro Puig might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Byron Tanner. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Puig ran back to his position shaking his head. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when İslam Hirfanlı scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a free kick in the 30th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Stefan Pierson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Stefan Pierson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by İslam Hirfanlı in the 36th minute. İslam Hirfanlı took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 46 minutes into the match, Brannik's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Byron Tanner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Axel Tasis took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Byron Tanner. Byron Tanner dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Lautaro Puig took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Byron Tanner to make any attempt to save it. 58 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Pierson came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by İslam Hirfanlı in the 60th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute Sidney Eldridge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. In the 75th minute İslam Hirfanlı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Byron Tanner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Brannik's Byron Tanner got control of the ball when Axel Tasis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 95th minute Stefan Pierson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
