Tzvetoslav Desov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Tzvetoslav Desov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Jonny Kleen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitko Kozlov in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SvE United's Hristo Stoichkov got a free kick in the 28th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as SvE United's Jonny Kleen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dante Lacasa. That made the score 1-1 after 34 minutes of play. 36 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tzvetoslav Desov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 40th minute, SvE United's Jonny Kleen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Tzvetoslav Desov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 43rd minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Facundo Cadaval got free with Tzvetoslav Desov in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Tzvetoslav Desov made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Joel Gaona got a free kick in the 54th minute. David Alaba kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Tzvetoslav Desov however easily saved by the left post. After 63 minutes SvE United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tzvetoslav Desov in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Tzvetoslav Desov made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 76 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Jonny Kleen came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jonny Kleen was slow to take the kick. During this time SvE United's players had a chance to rest. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonny Kleen in the 82nd minute of play. After having played for 92 minutes, Vitko Kozlov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
