Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Göpsen FC's Anselmo Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 3rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Göpsen FC's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmo Furlan came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anselmo Furlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 18 in the game by Pantelija Bou from a close distance when the talented Dante Lacasa managed to make a qualified save. Mexico's players were relieved. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Pantelija Bou sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Furlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 24 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute, Charles Gallot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anselmo Furlan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Mancebo went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Pantelija Bou made the kick off in the second half. Anselmo Furlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Göpsen FC booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Gaona didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bengt Fredriksson hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Göpsen FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 62nd minute, Vahdet Canbolat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Furlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Göpsen FC's Anselmo Furlan got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anselmo Furlan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Göpsen FC's François Béasse got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Facundo Cadaval blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anselmo Furlan having to make a save. The supporters of Göpsen FC booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Rouco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Gallot in the 81st minute of play. Anselmo Furlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 87th minute of play. François Béasse hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Anselmo Furlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 92nd minute of play. After 94 minutes Göpsen FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. The Göpsen FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
