Challestone S.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Xulian Vivero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 17 minutes into the game, Hernandez Callon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Challestone S.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Challestone S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernandez Callon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Xulian Vivero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 27th minute. Hernandez Callon was shown his second yellow card after 31 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 31st match minute, Challestone S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernandez Callon to maneuver through the defense. After 32 played minutes Challestone S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Xesus Coello. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xulian Vivero, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Xzavier Espindola didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erick Villaelrriego during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Challestone S.C.'s Calderón Aspurua quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Guillermo Mariano, made in the 86th minute of the game. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Xzavier Espindola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Xulian Vivero capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Xulian Vivero really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2.
