After 17 played minutes New Alianza FC got a freekick which was hit by Bertol Heban. In the 45th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Cambeiro to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

With 58 minutes on the clock, Angel Jonsansoro commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in New Alianza FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 58th minute. Penalty! Abraham Alguacil placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Tomas Berganza kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Abraham Alguacil got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Restu Almendras quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 75 minutes into the game, New Alianza FC's Bertol Heban nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Restu Almendras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Aaron Barrios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panama's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
