An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 5th minute of play forced CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Christian Orlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Christian Orlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christian Orlan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christian Orlan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. After 27 minutes Chile's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leo Iigo who took care of the corner kick. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christian Orlan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Mariano Lacasa scored 0-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christian Orlan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 40 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Christian Orlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Jorge Pires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of CE LAJEADENSE RS's Christian Orlan. Christian Orlan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

CE LAJEADENSE RS made a substitution. Renato Quadros replaced Jorge Pires. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mariano Lacasa to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Christian Orlan in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Chile's Mariano Lacasa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Christian Orlan. That made the score 0-3 after 55 minutes of play. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhuo Chao Chuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Saad in the 63rd minute of the match. After 67 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Orlan was left in no man's land by his defense there! CE LAJEADENSE RS made a substitution. Anísio Koehler replaced Caetano Saad. In the 73rd minute CE LAJEADENSE RS were awarded a corner. Bater Palma went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Bater Palma almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chile's Thiago Pliego did a great save. 74 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Ely was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CE LAJEADENSE RS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chile the free kick. After a rather tough play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Rodrigo Ely got a free kick in the 74th minute. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhuo Chao Chuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The supporters of Chile booed when CE LAJEADENSE RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauricio Bitxintxo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Christian Orlan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 91st minute, Mariano Lacasa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Christian Orlan. The goal made the score 0-5. 94 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Christian Orlan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. Christian Orlan made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. Chile played a much better game than CE LAJEADENSE RS and deserved their victory. The CE LAJEADENSE RS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
