Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Illescas got the match started through his kick off. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from George Schiau went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. George Schiau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Camilo Gaos charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Gaos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when George Schiau sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 15th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berkan Temel, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 20 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. New York Red Bulls's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Basarab Panduru in the 25th minute. Basarab Panduru made a great header on New York Red Bulls's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. George Schiau scored 2-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basarab Panduru in the 33rd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Doru Coman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 3-0. The audience was convinced that George Schiau's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 41st minute Berkan Temel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, George Schiau was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New York Red Bulls's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. A collision led to New York Red Bulls getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. George Schiau hit a great ball. In the 47th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

In the 52nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Schiau in the 54th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by New York Red Bulls's Berkan Temel. But to his dismay, Berkan Temel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basarab Panduru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Schiau in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Basarab Panduru came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute Berkan Temel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berkan Temel in the 87th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Berkan Temel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, New York Red Bulls's Dario Cinalli got a free kick in the 96th minute. New York Red Bulls's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
