Julio Chicote could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but 董博威 made a huge save. 姜宁升 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Camilo Freixa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The throw-in from Ismael Tejedor in the 53rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by 内蒙古煤炭工人联合队's 陆正扬. 董博威 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Fernandino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Eduardo Fontirroig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mario Fernandino's late challenge caught a 内蒙古煤炭工人联合队's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bolivia fully deserved thier win.
