Florian Wydrych ran back to his position shaking his head. 42 minutes into the match, Saul Goodman notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of USA's Marco Day. Marco Day was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Feng Chao Wei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 46th minute of the match. In the 49th minute USA were awarded a corner. Cassius Byrne went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Villa Verde FC's goalie and right to Edward Mcdonald. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Villa Verde FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Villa Verde FC's Feng Chao Wei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 58th minute of play. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Goodman in the 61st minute of the match. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Goodman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Feng Chao Wei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sam Campbell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Feng Chao Wei made a huge save. Villa Verde FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
