Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Vinicio Medina kicked off to start the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Gaueko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute, Julian Gaueko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PUNTARENAS F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 11 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. When Vinicio Medina came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the PUNTARENAS F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vinicio Medina couldn't finish the play. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Rojas having to interfere. PUNTARENAS F.C's Virgilio Rojas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save PUNTARENAS F.C from getting a goal against them. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 23rd minute. Tomas Illescas was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Gaueko, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. If Macho Madrigal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Virgilio Rojas narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

In the 51stth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PUNTARENAS F.C's Virgilio Rojas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. 53 minutes in the game Jiang Kun Wei did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Felix Stenqvist. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by PUNTARENAS F.C's Julian Gaueko. But to his dismay, Julian Gaueko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 63 minutes in the game, Vinicio Medina fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Charles Trevisan hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Vinicio Medina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Macho Madrigal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. PUNTARENAS F.C's Nacho Cordoba was substituted for Mikael Garcia. In the 75th minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vinicio Medina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. PUNTARENAS F.C played a much better game than Venezuela and deserved their victory. The Venezuela players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
