Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis De Rossi in the 7th minute of play. Genio della Lampada FC's Joélson de Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Genio della Lampada FC from getting a goal against them. Facundo Cadaval sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Joélson de Azevedo firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Facundo Cadaval managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Facundo Cadaval was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joélson de Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lautaro Mancebo might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joélson de Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The audience was convinced that Joel Gaona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joélson de Azevedo was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Genio della Lampada FC's Dennis De Rossi. But to his dismay, Dennis De Rossi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Joélson de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After a rather tough play, Genio della Lampada FC's Dennis De Rossi got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 31st minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joélson de Azevedo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 35th match minute, Genio della Lampada FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Liberatore to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Genio della Lampada FC's Joélson de Azevedo got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 53rd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joélson de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristinel Mustățea couldn't finish the play. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson de Azevedo having to interfere. Sebastian Liberatore charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastian Liberatore the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 67 played minutes Genio della Lampada FC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Liberatore. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 何沙铮 in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis De Rossi in the 76th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joélson de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. After having played for 92 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Genio della Lampada FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mexico.
