Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dragos Enicov having to interfere. A collision led to Ajax Academy getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Anatolie Papuc hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ajax Academy's Nicolae Carabulea got a free kick in the 19th minute. Joel Gaona scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dragos Enicov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 35th match minute, Ajax Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gong Yan Bin to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Ajax Academy getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Huang Jie Peng hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Felix Luque got a free kick in the 45th minute. Dante Lacasa acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 46th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Markus Andersson.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 56 in the game by Lautaro Mancebo from a close distance when the talented Dragos Enicov managed to make a qualified save. Ajax Academy's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dragos Enicov. That made the score 0-2 after 62 minutes of play. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Ajax Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Dragos Enicov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute Gong Yan Bin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dragos Enicov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 78th minute. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dragos Enicov came out and tried to block the shot, but Alberto Tafalla slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 81st minute. 84 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dragos Enicov, 0-4. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Joel Gaona put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Dragos Enicov. Dragos Enicov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 92nd minute of the match. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 93th minute after Ajax Academy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. The supporters of Mexico booed when Ajax Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Cacciatore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mexico played a much better game than Ajax Academy and deserved their victory. The Ajax Academy players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
