USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Venceslas in the 18th minute of play. After 19 minutes of play, LA LUZ F.C.'s Teo Venceslas made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marco Day was left in no man's land by his defense there! LA LUZ F.C.'s Miguel Ángel Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 24th minute of play. Miguel Ángel Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 27th minute of play. With a little luck, USA's Marco Day got control of the ball when Dawid Rojek tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Monty Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of USA booed when LA LUZ F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Haitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, LA LUZ F.C.'s Shi Jun Zhen got a free kick in the 35th minute. After 59 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Edward Mcdonald. In the 64th minute Jailson Britto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. USA were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after LA LUZ F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cassius Byrne took the corner. Miguel Ángel Torres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cassius Byrne in the 67th minute. After having played for 95 minutes, Marco Baker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. USA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Baker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 97th minute, Khalid Parry left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The USA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.
