Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s Felix Udroiu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pompiliu Nisporeanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 4 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 9th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompiliu Nisporeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompiliu Nisporeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pompiliu Nisporeanu quite easily take care of the ball. Pompiliu Nisporeanu came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montenegro. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Albert Ciorănescu kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of play forced F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s goalkeeper Pompiliu Nisporeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompiliu Nisporeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pompiliu Nisporeanu having to interfere. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Doru Săvescu sent off a good shot on target. After 27 minutes, Jovan Markovič mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Iulian Cangeopol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pompiliu Nisporeanu came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Dinu Roşu fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s protests and gave Dinu Roşu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinu Roşu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pompiliu Nisporeanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pompiliu Nisporeanu having to interfere. The F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- defense, Felix Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pompiliu Nisporeanu. The F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pompiliu Nisporeanu should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Ecuador booed when F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Aanuţei didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Cristian Sancho heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 64th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s Pompiliu Nisporeanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 75th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felix Udroiu in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st match minute, F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ştefan Matei to maneuver through the defense. After 82 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pompiliu Nisporeanu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. After 88 played minutes F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- got a freekick which was hit by Ştefan Mureșan. Luis Andino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Pompiliu Nisporeanu made a huge save. When Agustín Saelices came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Saelices couldn't finish the play. 92 minutes into the match, F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Pompiliu Nisporeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
