Babür Mertoğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Babür Mertoğlu came free with the goalkeeper in the 7th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Ferrant could save by the left post. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gugu Aguiar hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Serbülent Tokuş kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-0 in the 24 minute of play. Serbülent Tokuş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Babür Mertoğlu in the 39th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Enric Patiño ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Babür Mertoğlu sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Babür Mertoğlu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enric Patiño in the 50th minute of play. The Modroñes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Babür Mertoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. Modroñes walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
