A collision led to Småland Utd getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Tobias Svanér hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arman Hansson in the 17th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Småland Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Joacim Hultman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute. Joacim Hultman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 22nd minute of play. Joacim Hultman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Ove Lövgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Berggren got free with Julio Vera in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joacim Hultman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Berggren made a kick off. Daniel Zorita let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 54th minute shot 0-2 at rihgt post. If Frank Berggren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Berggren in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 63 minutes into the game, Småland Utd's Gösta Gustafsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Berggren in the 65th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Arne Harlén in the 68th minute of play. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Joacim Hultman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Montenegro during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th minute, Felix Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Ove Lövgren in the 87th minute of the match. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
